The Devdan Show is an opportunity to learn all about the treasures of the Indonesian archipelago through a fun and exciting adventure.
The word Devdan (Sanskrit) consists of two parts: Dev-Virgin, and Dan-gift, grace.
Plot
It all starts with a small theatrical performance.This is a jungle tour with a funny but boring guide.Two children, unimpressed by his story, lag behind other tourists.In search of adventure, they climb to the top of the mountain, where they find a chest with jewels and five magical objects.Each of them is a guide to the viewer’s own unique world.
Five objects represent the five islands of Indonesia: Bali, Sumatra, Papua, Java and Borneo.Kids take turns taking an object and together with the viewer plunge into the culture and traditions of each island.
For an hour and a half you will travel to the picturesque places of Indonesia, get acquainted with folk dances, acrobatic numbers, contemplate a fire show and marvel at the gracefulness of air ballerinas.
The Devdan show, of course, has cultural value, conveying the folk traditions of Indonesia, but it should not be considered as a source of accurate knowledge.
